For today’s ride, I chose the Endurance #5 workout on MyWhoosh. This one was straightforward, focusing mainly on low-intensity efforts with some minor variations thrown in. It wasn’t taxing at all for the vast majority, with a bit of punch thrown in right at the end.
In the final stretch, there’s a 5-minute interval pushing around 95% of FTP, followed by a 15-second sprint at 170% FTP. That last blast definitely gets the heart rate up and adds a bit of a challenge to an otherwise relaxed endurance session.

As is often the case with these easier workouts, I wasn’t paying much attention for a good 20 to 25 minutes as I had to work. I bring along my work laptop on the bike table and, fortunately, the time just seemed to pass by.

As we reached the longest of the endurance intervals near the end, the on-screen prompts suggested increasing cadence to the top end of my comfort zone.
I’d been holding around 95 rpm for most of the workout, but I pushed it up to 105 rpm for about 10 minutes during this interval. That definitely got a sweat going.

Beyond that, there’s not much to report on today’s ride. However, I did notice something interesting in the game menus afterwards. Over the weekend, I explored the mobile app’s events section to check out races and other activities. So far I’ve had no luck there, it keeps saying there is an error.
But in-game it turns out there’s quite a lot happening. While the participant numbers aren’t huge, there are plenty of events available, covering various types that seem quite engaging.

I’m considering getting involved in one of them—perhaps a group workout or something similar. I’m not sure yet, but it seems like an interesting opportunity to explore at some point this week. I do like a bit of variety.
