Each week Zwift usually sends me an email summarising my activity for the week. For previous weekly reviews click here.
Unfortunately, this week I didn’t receive an email from Zwift, so we will be skipping that bit.
This week I completed four rides.
The average ride length was about an hour.
I took part in one race: Race 6 of the SRAM Send It Series. This was a hard one. I struggled with this from the get go, but was happy to have completed the ride all the same.
The ride immediately after this – perhaps this should have been a rest day – was a climb up Box Hill which felt fairly strong, until I saw my time heading towards the top. That’s when I knew I was essentially running on fumes.
Still, it all contributed nicely towards the L’Etape Du Tour Mission climbing total.
Also this week I hit the Epic KOM and Radio Tower climbs. Neither were world beating times, but generally were great workouts.
And finally, another climb, twice up the Volcano KOM to finish off the week.
All combined, this came to 1663m of climbing for the week, which sounds decent when compared to most previous weeks.
However, it is only one and a bit times up the Alpe Du Zwift. So all in, not spectacular.
I wasn’t trying to set amazing performances this week, but the average wattage chart is showing me that things continue to gradually trend upwards. That much I’m pleased about.
For the forthcoming week my plan is to get through the remaining meters of climb in the L’Etape Du Tour Mission, and then have a rest day or two.
After this, I think I’ll be looking for a race. I’d really like to hit the Richmond Hilly Race again. Last time I really enjoyed that, even with mechanical problems.
On a non-riding front, I need to continue my work with my leaderboards. I have made some further progress this week, but there are still several bugs to work through, and I need to add the London climbs on there. I also need to update the stats – currently, it’s a pain to do this.
