Into The Sunset

Wew, another hot day. And having to wear a suit for a large majority of it, I felt rough as for the remainder of the afternoon when I got home. Now, that may have been due to drinking a couple of pints, and / or indulging in the buffet. I made the mistake of eating exclusively white bread – something I never do – and have had major heart burn for my sins.

As it’s been baking – 30c since 4pm – I’ve put off moving if at all possible, let alone cycling. But I was craving some cool air on my skin by 7pm, though didn’t get out till about 8pm. By then the sun was starting to set, but the temperature was down to a far more agreeable 26c ðŸĪŠ It’s abosolutely bonkers that an English man in England is writing this.

I repeated yesterday’s circuit, only doing the first half in reverse for no particular reason other than to vary things up.

I considered making a stop and taking a photo of the sunset. But as I was riding towards it, and on something of an effort, I figured… well, we’ve all seen one before, haven’t we? Yeah… sod it. Ha.

Anyway, sunsets over Preston’s new housing estate ridden countryside aren’t much to look at.

So yeah, short but decent.

Oh, and quiet.

Being a Friday night (my internal calendar is so screwed up I thought it was Thursday) there was next to no traffic out. The only fun I had today was having an ambulance behind me at the lights that suddenly went into blues and twos and scared the ever-loving bejesus out of me. Better than being inside it, I suppose.
