It’s Coronation Day!

The window is open, so’s that door, I didn’t know we did that anymore, who knew we owned 8,000 salad plaaaaates?

Yeah.

That’s a Frozen reference, by the way, in case you don’t have kids.

Yes, today is the coronation of our billionaire king. And whilst I’m paying for some small part of it, I have absolutely no desire to be involved in any of it. At all. What a tragic waste of money in a time when 3 million people in His Majesty’s country are dependant on food banks.

Shameful.

Anyway, enough of the politics. Thankfully the bike is my escape route from the pointless pomp and ceremony.

Off I went then, albeit later than planned due to some work commitments, for a ride out.

Today was not intended to be a tough ride. Just a tempo session. Or, as I like to call it: a bike ride.

No targets, no real route in my head, and certainly no hard efforts.

All in then, it was pretty enjoyable.

The one downside were the sheer number of flies. I kept flicking them off me, over and over… and over again. No wonder I’m full of bites. It was the same last ride out as well. Must be the season.

I’m hoping to do something similar tomorrow morning, too.

The one downer is that it’s rained now, so the ground is soaked. Again. But then it rained on Friday night and was dry enough today. It was 17c, after all. Basically summer.

So, fingers crossed for another ride like this tomorrow.
