Wanting to get out of the house for a full hour, I unfortunately ended up in a strange situation whereby I needed to be in work for some crisis issue, but I had a banging headache and needed some lunch. So, I decided to get some fresh air and have a bike ride – not quite the full hour, and that meant no food, either. All in all, not a great afternoon.
As I didn’t get the full hour, and as I couldn’t go far, I did a sort of loop of the local area, taking in the usual streets and climbs. Nothing great, lots of stop / start.
The weather today was a bit hit and miss, also. At around 9c it wasn’t quite warm enough for the summer stuff, but a little too hot for bib tights. Anyway, I managed to drop (and smash) a box of eggs all over my bib tights, so that ruled them out.
Managing only 15km today I can’t say there’s much to write. I know I missed out on doing Stage 4 of the ToW 2021 which started around 9am today. I’ll aim to do that tomorrow – going to need at least an hour for that as it’s the Epic KOM and (shock horror) the Jungle Circuit, so will take me a while. Hopefully hit the 4pm slot, given I worked super later today and need to finish early to make up for it.
Anyway, at least my headache has gone.
Still not done my bib short review yet either. It’s been quite the day.
