At dinner time today I noticed my front tyre had punctured. Fortunately if there’s one bike repair I am capable of by now it is replacing a popped inner tube. Not that I’m quick. And yes, my thumb is very much still sore from the activity, but after work ride complete, it seems to have been a success.
I wasn’t planning on riding today. Not least because yesterday I ended up with a sore knee yet again. However with doing that repair I wanted to make sure it had seated properly and I could get it mentally checked off the list.

Unrelated, I had to move the living room furniture prior to heading out. Got a new carpet coming tomorrow morning. In moving the chairs I’ve hurt my back… again. As I say, this was prior to the ride. I really felt the pain on the small hills today. Bad times.
Foolishly I keep saying I know the answer. It’s turbo work. Steady ERG workouts, at low intensity. Yet I can’t help but succumb to the outdoors when the sun is shining.
As it stands if this pain continues the first port of call will be ibuprofen. Then I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. So bored of being injured. But of course it’s my fault rushing the recovery. I know. I know 🙁
