This afternoon I rode the reverse of a previous ride, heading up Oakenclough climb, this time from the opposite direction.
Where last time it was a fairly long and endurance style grind climb, this time around it was shorter, and at the end, sharper.
Hitting 18% at the steepest point, the Garmin Edge 530 failed me in two places. Firstly, there was no red on the climb graph. Surely a climb with a section that steep is a bit red?
And the other way it failed me was in having refused to take any screenshots. Sigh.
Technical difficulties also about during the recording of audio as part of my vlog. Boo.
Heading out today I knew it was going to be wet and windy. Fortunately I only got caught by two showers, and as such got a decent chance to test out the Rapha commuter jacket. More on that in the video.
The wind was horrible though. Especially at the top of the climb. Thankfully the remainder of this week isn’t supposed to be as bad, so I’m hoping for a few more outdoor riding days before starting my new job from next week.
Lastly today my Strava premium trial has now expired. Boo. I’m down to crappo budget tier stats from them as a result.
On the plus side it looks like Garmin paid off the Russians fixed their IT problems and as such I can at least get some pretty stats from them.
