Headwinds. In every direction. How is it even possible?!
Well, there’s a slim chance that on my outbound leg I was helped along briskly by the tailwind, but just thought I was going fast because I’m ace. Actually, scratch the ‘slim chance’. That was very probably what was happening as I made 10km within just about 20 minutes, and that included quite a lot of gradual up hill stuff 🤦♂️
Right, well, anyway. There was a possibility of me doing a bit of Zwifting today. As I went to bed late last night it was chucking it down and I figured it might therefore be too wet to ride outdoors today. However, when I woke up it was already dry and the sun shone brightly all morning. By lunch time then it was decent weather for a little outdoor riding.
What I hadn’t factored in was that wind, of course. But no big deal.
Picking something of a countryside route, I was hoping to get in a solid session today. And at 31kms, and 919 calories burned, I am putting a heavy check in that box ✅
Generally things felt pretty decent on this ride. The only real annoying thing is the constant squeaking coming from somewhere on the bike. I thought it was my front chain ring but now I’m thinking it’s related to the rear somehow. Either way, it’s annoying the hell out of me. Fortunately the wind was so deafening most of the time that I could barely hear it.
Pretty tired though now, and I still have my daily press ups to do. Why do I do this to myself? Ahh well, it always seems worth it once all the days exercising is done.
