Yesterday I said I would try and get in another similar ride, and I feel like this morning’s ride was exactly that. Just a tempo effort, and easy ride really with no goals in mind, just getting out there and doing an hour’s exercise.
Route-wise, I went out to Penwortham and up to the Hutton roundabout before doubling back and heading through Avenum Park to have a look at the party setup for the King’s shindig.

Pretty magical, I’m sure you will agree.
I’m guessing it was still fairly early doors for that, as I did see plenty of people slowly making their way towards the park with their picnics and what-have-you as I made my way home.
And fortunately for them, it has been a nice day since. Excellent all round.

But for me, it’s been an easy day. Not just on the bike, but in general. I’m deliberately taking it easy on what has been a different, but quite enjoyable week all round.
Not sure what to do tomorrow though.
It’s Bank Holiday Monday (another one), and so I do have a spare day.

Should I go out on the bike? Not sure yet. If I do, that might mean a longer ride (why not?) and then that knackers me out for Tuesday’s regular racing day. But if I don’t then I lose a potential good day’s riding and would just be sat round bored.
So yeah. Maybe a ride. Maybe not.
Let’s see how it goes.
