Heh. Achievement unlocked: vain af.
I’ve not had a tan in a very long time. Since cycling more and more outdoors over this summer, I’ve picked one up. And you know what? I really like it.
But that wasn’t really the reason to go out today.
I hadn’t actually planned to go out on the bike tonight. It was supposed to be a rest day ahead of the third and final stage of the Specialized SL7 Tarmac climb tomorrow. With that in mind, today’s ride was probably a little silly.
However, I just wanted to get out and enjoy the sun, and burn off a fairly stressful … or at least, intensive past two weeks.
After this one, as I say, I have the indoor ride tomorrow. Sunday may be a rest day. I’m not yet sure.
But the good news is I now have a full week … 9 days in total – to get out and about, and hopefully enjoy some long sunny outdoor rides. Really excited about this. One ride I want to do is the Trough of Bowland again, but this time in reverse.
Another one that looks interesting is Rivington.
Anyway, right now I’m going to settle into a beer, some fish and chips, and put on Harry Potter for my kids. Good times. Have a good Friday all!
