Yeah, a real struggle today. I forced myself on the bike, didn’t want to be on there by any means. 30 minutes, that’s all I had in mind. Nothing structured, just a Pace Partner / Robo Pacer ride to get me through as much as I could manage.
Honestly, I’m not really sure what’s happened lately. Since Christmas I’ve really dipped. Mentally I’m alright but physically it’s so hard to find the motivation to get on the bike.
On the plus side I think tomorrow and the day after are a little easier. If memory serves, Garmin gives a badge for both New Years Eve and New Years Day, so any time amount of exercise will do the job.
My only plan at this point is to see out the week by hitting the 100km marker on Zwift. I think I’m under 50km at this point, so it’s looking like a ~30km ride per day to see me through, which means roughly one hours riding on both Saturday and Sunday.
I kinda felt like heading outdoors today. Unfortunately rain persists. Also I have this fear of being knocked down now. Hoping that will pass when the weather turns nicer.
All I do know is I’m glad I didn’t commit to doing the Rapha Festive 500. So many people are doing that on Zwift. It’s nuts. I think the Advent of Cycling challenge I set for myself is hard. Those riders are harder than hardcore.
