Each week I try to review and reflect on my previous week on the bike. This allows me to see how my fitness and ability is progressing on a wider timescale than day to day. For previous weekly reviews please click here.

A good week. A long week, actually. In more ways than one. But a good amount of time spent on the bike, so in that regard a good long week.
Here are this week’s rides:
- Monday – Pretty Happy With That One (Outdoors)
- Tuesday – Jeffers & FTP Boost (Outdoors)
- Wednesday – Unable To Take It Easy Outside (Outdoors)
- Saturday – Perspiration (Outdoors)

Two FTP boosts in one week.
Pretty crazy. Not had that happen in a very long time. But the graph is trending nicely in the right direction. The only downside is the fatigue. I’m definitely feeling that right now. But as I have two “rest days” in the form of two days away with work, I reckon that should drop a bit. Or I hope it will.
The fitness is really going up though. That’s so good. A reward for a lot of hard work. I’ve added about an hour on my weekly riding time lately, and it is paying off.
Combine that with a good climbing ride and things have really moved, and I feel all the better for it.

Overall then, a really strong week.
If I can keep that going for the week ahead I will be super pleased. It’s probably going to be difficult with the unfortunate work demands, but I will try my best, especially whilst the weather is so nice outside.
