Today was all about Zone 2, just getting some time on the bike and back into the legs. Two days recovery and I feel like it’s ages since I’ve been on. Madness.
But I wasn’t paying a huge amount of attention today. With the bike desk I’m able to bring the laptop over and ‘work’ through. That is until my ass gets incredibly sore, which it does after ~30 minutes or so when sat upright.
I’ve got several big tasks in progress at the moment – off the bike – so time is really limited, particularly on Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday which are my midweek bike days and take up ~2 hours all in. That’s including getting ready, doing the ride, and then showering, eating, and writing up these posts.
Tomorrow is going to be race day though.
Stage 3 of the Tour of Makuri Islands race series, and this one looks flat (~160m of climb all in, I think), and fast – 26km (again, I think).
So that should be somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes at threshold. Can’t wait.
