Tonight’s ride was the complete opposite of a Full Gas effort. It was my all time easiest ride, 60 minutes at 114w. Basically, I’m sat on a bike, I’m pedalling, but I’m not really doing much else. No elevated breathing, no surge in heart rate, and barely any sweat. It’s a life I could get used too.
And hey, it’s better than being sat on the sofa for an hour.
I got on this one a bit late. Ideally I wanted to get on at 4pm, but it ended up being about 4.20pm, no big deal, right?
Well, kinda. It turns out today was the big launch of the RTX 3060 graphics card – which unless you are a major nerd, or like me, a nerd who needs a new computer – probably passed you by. And if so, lucky you to be honest. But anyway, the gist is, at 5pm the shops would release their stock, and it was a first come, first served kinda deal.
So I was off the bike at 4.57pm, and sat at my PC frantically refreshing. Did I manage to bag one? Did I pump. Just another epic disaster in the week of PC parts for Chris.
Anyway, baloney to it all. After about 20 minutes I gave up, got back on the bike, and begrudgingly finished my workout. I guess I should be grateful I have a working laptop.
Not much else to report on this one. I had a big drop out just before I stopped at 5pm. Not sure what caused that. And I hit some weekly targets.
I’d dearly like to get outdoors tomorrow as it looks nice and sunny and I’m finishing work early to make up my hours. But with no new tyres till Sunday, I guess it’s just gunna be a frustrating one.
Meh. Meh, I say.
