Start early, finish late. The mantra of the burned out employee. Anyway, start early I did, and finish late(r than planned) I had too, so once more I did my cycling between meetings.
Fortunately, today, I got my full hours ride in.
Less fortunately, I wimped out of doing anything overly exertive. On the plus side I did do some exercise, which is better than none. And as I came in over 500 calories burned I consider that a win.
For whatever reason, the Zwift Companion App just would not work properly today. It would load, sure, but it wouldn’t switch into “game” mode. Which kinda sucked as I had alt+tabbed out to watch YouTube instead. In the end I decided to use the Garmin and manually “lap” the blocks. Fairly easy, 9 on, 1 off, repeated five times.
Anyway, that’s me done for my midweek rides.
I’ve been contemplating doing the Off the MAAP series – having spied it as available on the app. I haven’t done anything like that in a while, and having those organised rides forces me to ride longer and harder than I clearly am doing at the moment. Honestly, I feel like I’ve got lazy lately.
Not good.
My next ride will almost certainly be Saturday. If the weather’s nice then hopefully I’ll get outdoors. If not, maybe it’s the chance to do the second stage of the Off The MAAP rides? Who knows. Right now it’s lashing it down… the good times are over, folks. Over.
