Two Bridges, Two Lots of Four Mini Efforts

Not really sure of the purpose of this workout, but as best I am aware it’s Day 3 of Week 6 of Zwift’s 12 Week FTP Builder series. There’s two repeats of 1 min at (I’m guessing) 95% FTP, and then 4 minutes of ~70% FTP. The sums don’t quite work out, but that’s the ball park.

I knew I was in for at least some Zwifting this week as the weather has taken a turn for the worse. We are promised (ha!) a future heatwave of 32c (hotter than Ibiza apparently), but for now we’re in the mid teens and with plenty of wet stuff to keep me inside. Doesn’t seem to be affecting Wimbledon though.

Getting through these structured workouts can feel like a real grind. Sweaty, hot, and quite boring, I couldn’t face just another one of those long blocks of zone 2 type rides. At least this one gave a smidge of variation whilst keeping a very low stress score.

Tomorrow’s ride needs to be a little more intensive. Again, almost certainly it’s going to be indoors. I really need some more distracting material for these rides. I’m so bored of the YouTubes and whatever.

Anyway, at this point I’m just whinging. So I’ll shut up.
