I woke up before 7 today and decided to get an early start with my work. I figured I’d started 30 mins early, and take a lunch hour and get a full ride in during that time. But when 12pm came around I just couldn’t muster the energy to do a ride, so figured I’d finish at 3.30 and ride till 5.
And so that’s what I did.
The impressive thing, from my point of view, is that I’ve managed to hit my riding goals ahead of schedule this week. Given how I feel, and how up and down I’ve been feeling physically, it’s good to have the weeks exercise goals ticked off. I’ve not finished yet, and will hopefully get in at least an hour on both weekend days, but if I don’t, I’m happy enough with what I’ve done.
It’s painful mentally not to be able to push harder than I am doing at the moment. But it’s more painful physically when I do.
Given last time took about 5 weeks to shift, I figure I’ll be just about back to normal the week before Christmas. I’ll take it.
I’m hoping that some good black Friday cycling deals come up, particularly in membership prices to other programs. I still really want to get a bash at The Sufferfest, so if can get a reduced priced membership to carry me forwards, that would be great. No idea if that’s a thing. Probably not. But that’s about all I have going on at the moment so I’m going to stop there.
Riveting stuff, I’m sure you’ll agree.
