For the second time now I’ve taken my work laptop from my regular desk and put it on the bike desk and managed to do a Zone 2 ride whilst continuing to tap away.
It sounds awful, doesn’t it?
But it’s actually a really good way of killing off a lot of the time on an otherwise fairly monotonous ride.
At 160w I’m sat at 2.4w/kg, averaging about 135bpm. For me, that’s barely breaking a sweat – I mean, there is sweat, but the headband and fan are sufficient that I don’t even need a towel. Anything more than that and I’d be unable to type or whatever though.
Anyway what this does is it kills off a good portion of the ride. When I looked up today for the first time I was already at the end of my first interval. So whilst it’s not that much fun having so much work that I have to eat into my lunch break, it does feel good to kill two birds with one stone.
Beyond that, not a right lot to report today. I was going to do the Race Makuri 5 & 6, but as above, that wasn’t possible. That’s happening tomorrow, regardless.
But today, just chilled… from an exercise perspective.
