Two toughies in a row, and then time for an easy one instead.
That was the plan today. Sixty long, fairly dull minutes of steady pedalling around Zwift’s Fuego Flats.
Except because of real life, it wasn’t quite that.
No. Half way through – pretty much bang on, actually – and right between intervals, I had to stop and talk a call from a recruiter. That’s always fun when you sound hot and sweaty, though thankfully not overly so as this one’s not a killer by any means. Even so, it does sound like you’re making a mucky call with all that heavy breathing.
Anyway, see what comes of that one. Don’t build your hopes up, or hold your breath.
Beyond that then, I had been watching a training video prior to taking his unexpected call. But after that I couldn’t get my head back on that subject so I just pedalled along, checking jobs boards and waiting for the clock to tick down.
Rest day tomorrow and then Saturday will be Stage 2 of the Tour de Zwift. Hurry up and recover please legs.
