Welp, bit disappointed that the blisters haven’t calmed down completely as of yet.
Two reasons why:
- Because it’s stopping me from doing the FTP test (yeah… right)
- Because I wanted another walk tomorrow morning, and doing so might reset the clock.
I’ve enjoyed my longer walks, blisters aside, simply for getting out of the house and getting some fresh air without the risk of being run over (or substantially less, at any case).
But now I’m thinking I might not even be able to walk tomorrow, regardless of whether it gives further blisters, simply because it hurts too much to wear shoes with the ones I have.
Some first world problems right there.
Anyway, I was getting a bit agitated by them during today’s Sweet Spot Training session. It’s higher intensity than what I did on Thursday, and whilst I didn’t notice it too much during the main set, I have to say that in both the warm up and the cool down I was really jarred by the rubbing.
Moan moan.
I was enjoying the Makuri Islands route today though. Visually, I mean.
Because I knew I’d be doing the higher intensity work, I put on a long playlist of stuff on the second screen. But because the higher intensity work regularly makes me really tetchy, I ended up knocking that off after 20 minutes and switching back to my usual techno mixes – a bit of Pan Pot always hits the spot. Not to everyone’s tastes, admittedly.
Having knocked off the videos I had the music on, and was watching the game screen more closely. And I do have to say, they did a really nice job on Makuri Islands. It’s definitely got a very Watopia vibe to it, but different enough to feel interesting. I like it. What more can I say?
Well, nothing.
So that’s me. I will, hopefully, get that walk in tomorrow. If not, it’s some kind of bike activity. But probably only a light one.
