I’m really knackered. Not sure if it’s having ridden yesterday or what, but I was feeling it in the legs before I even started today. Not helped by Zwift crashing twice, meaning I spent ~10 minutes mucking around and rebooting before I even got the clock started.
It seems odd to me that a walk on Sunday, admittedly a fairly long one, but also a fairly flat one, would take such a toll.
Yesterday’s ride wasn’t anything longer than usual, either. And it wasn’t an intensive ride or anything.
So I’m a bit puzzled.
I didn’t have it in me to contemplate doing the lower cadence intervals for the “on” blocks today. It was enough of a challenge to get through the 40 minutes with the 95rpm target, thank you please.
Maybe it’s a lack of sleep, or lack of quality sleep that’s doing it?
Whatever it is, I feel wiped out.
Possibly taking tomorrow as a rest day may be smart.
I saw that the next race on Thursday is still Scotland, two laps of the City and the Sgurr route, which if memory serves is basically the KOM in both directions, so four climbs. I suspect I will be dropped at the bottom of the first climb, so that should be a real fun “race”.
Anyway, for now I’m going to eat fish and chips. Fat boy. Adios.
